Sensio Air for hotels

Know which rooms had a pet before the next guest checks in.

Pets are rarely declared, and their dander stays in carpets and soft furnishings long after checkout. Sensio Air puts one small sensor in each room, compares every room with the rest of its floor, and tells housekeeping which doors to open, with a reason for each.

Enter your email or a US or Canadian mobile number. We will send one example of the alert a hotel's team receives the moment a room passes all three checks. Nothing else, and we don't keep your details.

Why hotels can't see it today

Your systems know a room was sold. Not who, or what, stayed in it.

Rarely declaredGuests seldom mention a pet at the desk, and the property system has nowhere to record one.
Left behindDander settles into carpet, bedding and curtains, waiting for the next guest, who may be the one with an allergy.
Fees go unchargedWithout evidence, a pet fee or a deep clean is hard to charge and harder to defend.
Size, not natureTraditional particulate matter counters can't tell a pet's dander from any other particle. To them, PM is a particle's size, not its nature, so they trigger false alarms systematically.
How it works

From the air in the room to a door to open

1 · CollectA sample of the airA sensor in each room collects what settles out of the air, two or three times an hour, and identifies every particle in it.
2 · CompareAgainst its floorEach room is compared with the rest of its floor, so whatever moves the whole building cancels out.
3 · CheckThree checksA peak, a climb above the floor and an overnight build-up grade the room low, medium or high.
4 · ActYour team knowsAn email, a text and a list of rooms to check, each with its reason. Staff record what they find.
The three checks

A pet makes one room pull away from its floor, and stay there.

Housekeeping stirs a room up and leaves. A pet keeps adding to the air for as long as it stays. So Sensio never alarms on a single peak. It looks for a room that leaves the rest of its floor and holds, most of all at night, when nobody cleans.

Peak confirmed
At least one hour well above the rest of the floor.
Climbing above its floor
Held for four of six hours, not a passing spike.
Built up overnight
Three hours above the floor between 10 PM and 6 AM.
Cleaning rounds left out
Each room's daily cleaning peak is learned from the last seven days and never counts.
One verdict
One check passed reads low, two medium, three high. Only high raises an alert.

Real readings from a guest room, 16–20 October 2026: the hourly median of particles per reading, each line indexed to its own level on Friday. The room left its floor on Sunday and held about a third above it through two nights. Switch between 24, 48 and 72 hours, as on the dashboard.
Alerts

An email first. Texts when you want them.

When a room passes all three checks, your team hears about it at once. You decide whether texts wait for a person or go out on their own.

Email at once
Sent the moment a room passes all three checks, with a link that opens the room.
Daily report
A summary of every room by email each day, for anyone who doesn't open the board.
Texts by a person
A supervisor presses Send alert to staff and picks pet or smoke. The text names the room.
Texts automatically
One switch, and pet texts go by themselves between 7 AM and 9 PM.
Smoke
Always a person's call. The text is ready; someone decides to send it.

Energy

Energy, room by room

Occupancy from CO₂, and temperature and humidity against the season's target band. An empty room held warm is energy spent for nobody.

Each room gets an estimate of what it uses today, and where it could save.

Occupied or empty
From the room's carbon dioxide, which climbs and falls with the people in it.
The season's target
Heating or cooling follows the weather outside, and each room is held against its band.
Off target
Rooms too warm or too cool for the season, empty ones first.
Where to save
Set back the empty rooms that are off target, and see what it would save.

Ask SensioAll rooms
Which rooms should we check today?
Room 1410. It has stayed above the rest of floor 14 since Sunday noon, through two nights. Its 9 AM peaks are the daily cleaning round, so they don't count. Worth a look before the next guest.

Ask about one room, several or the whole hotel. Answers come from the board's own evidence, in plain words.

Why other sensors cry wolf

Other sensors count particles. Sensio knows what they are.

97.5%

of call-outs to automatic fire alarms in England were false alarms. Just 2.1% were fires.

Nine in ten of those false alarms came from the alarm itself. Smoke alarms react to particulate matter, or to something blocking the sensor, never to what the particle actually is. Steam from a hot shower is enough to set one off. It doesn't set off Sensio. Source: UK Home Office, automatic fire alarms by confirmed type
